What body sculpting treatments are available?

At New Image Medical Spa, Dr. Sandhu brings her patients the latest FDA-approved body sculpting treatments:

CoolSculpting

This noninvasive treatment harnesses the power of cold to remove fat from targeted problem areas, including:

• Thighs
• Stomach
• Back
• Upper arms
• Under the chin
• Under the buttocks

During CoolSculpting, Dr. Sandhu moves the CoolSculpting device over the area you want to treat. This sends cold into the fat cells in the area while warming the surface of your skin, keeping you comfortable.

As the cold reaches the fat cells, it crystallizes them, destroying them. Over the coming weeks, your body flushes out the destroyed fat cells, leaving you with a permanent reduction of fat cells in the treated area. 

WarmSculpting with SculpSure

This treatment works similarly to SculpSure, but rather than targeting your fat cells with cold, it uses therapeutic heat. During this treatment, Dr. Sandhu uses the WarmSculpting device to direct laser energy into fat cells in the area you want to treat. As the cells absorb the laser energy, they’re permanently damaged. Your body then starts the process of removing these damaged cells.

Dr. Sandhu uses WarmSculpting with SculpSure to remove fat from patients’:

• Under-chin area

Like CoolSculpting, WarmSculpting with SculpSure is completely noninvasive.

Kybella

Although CoolSculpting and WarmSculpting with SculpSure can both be used to treat submental fullness, or excess fat under your chin, only Kybella was specifically formulated to address this problem area. With a series of Kybella injections, Dr. Sandhu targets and destroys under-chin fat, helping you get a more svelte profile. 

Is there downtime associated with body sculpting?

No. In fact, many people return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment. 

That said, there is a waiting period. Each treatment destroys your fat cells, but it takes time for your body to flush those cells away. Your results will improve over the weeks following your treatment.
