HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT:
Laser hair removal is an established method of treating unwanted and/or excess hair. Elite MPX laser therapy is for patients who wish to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair. It can be used on all skin types from light to dark. It allows to deliver a custom wavelength combination treatment depending on the skin type. A laser pulse is often described as a wave of heat with the sensation of a pinprick. A topical anesthetic may be applied if necessary. The chiller is effective in reducing discomfort during laser treatment. Erythema/follicular edema is a normal response to treatment and may be seen for 24-48 hours. The treated hairs can take 7-14 days to exfoliate and may appear to be growing during this time.
The laser can only eliminate hair that is currently in a growing phase. Multiple treatments may be necessary over a span of 4 week intervals to remove hair from most areas. Hair removal on legs may require 6-8 weeks treatment intervals due to hair growth cycles. Any results may not be apparent for several months post treatment.
Patients should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, sunless tanning creams before, during, and after the course of laser treatment. Patients should shave treatment area within twenty four hours of treatment. Following the laser treatment activities, such as swimming, sports and/or strenuous exercise should be avoided for the first 2-3 days or until any redness, crusting or blisters have resolved.
FACIAL SKIN TREATMENT:
ELITE MPX laser therapy is for those patients with environmental skin damage, a red or ruddy complexion, discrete telangiectasia, uneven pigmentation and skin texture. It can be done on all skin types. Treatment provides the most benefit to those with mild to moderate sun-damaged skin. To achieve optimal benefit 4-6 treatment s may be necessary at 3-4 week intervals. For better results patients should avoid sun exposure, tanning creams, and sunless tanning lotions for one week prior to treatment and throughout the course of the laser treatment. A broad-spectrum sunscreens SPF 30 or greater should be applied to the areas to be treated whenever exposed to the sun.
ELITE MPX laser therapy is for patients with superficial pigmented lesions, as well as patient who desire facial treatment for pigment. It is for skin type 1-3. It is not for patients who have unprotected sun exposure or tanning for four weeks prior to treatment any time during treatment, or four weeks after the course of their laser treatment. It is not for patients with skin type 4-6. To achieve optimal benefit 1-2 treatments may be necessary about three weeks apart.
ELITR MPX Laser therapy is for those patients who present with telangiectasis, as well as those who seek treatment for veins up to 3mm in size. It is for skin type 1-4. Patients should not have had unprotected sun exposure or tanning within 3-7 days prior to treatment. It is not for vein treatment for patients with skin type 5 & 6. Precise custom treatment can be achieved while the surrounding structures, such as the epidermis , remain largely unharmed. Treatment can fade, reduce or eliminate the veins. It is not a cure for the veins. Multiple treatments at 6-8 weekly intervals are often necessary. For best results and to avoid the risk of epidermal injury patients should avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, tanning creams and sunless tanning lotions for 3-7 days prior to treatment.
INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL) TREATMENTS (PHOTOREJUVINATION/PHOTOFACIAL)
IPL treatments are for treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions. It is for skin type 1-4 and not recommended for skin typed 5 & 6. Patients should be using sun screens with SPF 30+ daily on the sun exposed skin to be treated. They should shave one day before the treatment. An average of 4-6 IPL treatments is expected for effective outcomes.

Botox is diluted from Botulism which is injected into facial muscles to weaken or paralyze the muscles to get rid or soften the wrinkles. The use of Botulism toxin Type A for facial enhancement is the most common cosmetic procedure currently undertaken in the United States. Its primary action is as a muscle relaxer. It acts by temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. Preventing the release of acetylcholine will halt nerve muscle connection and therefore stop the nerve from telling the muscle to contract. If dosed properly the muscle will be able to perform its normal function with very little or no noticeable weakness.
Botulism Toxin was first introduced in the late 1960s to treat neurological disorders. It was approved in 1989 to treat eye muscle disorders ( stribismus- crossed eyes, blephrospasm and uncontrollable blinking. In the year 2000 it was approved for the treatment of cervical Dystonia ( a disorder of neck and shoulder causing severe spasm.) As a side effect of the treatment softening of frown lines around the eye was noticed.
In 2002 FDA approved Botox for softening and reducing the severity of frown lines around the eyes. In 2010 FDA approved Botox for reducing the severity and frequency of migraine headaches. It is also used to treat eyebrow frown lines, forehead frown lines, chronic tension headache, upper limb spasticity, cerebral palsy contractures, and hyperhydrosis.
Side Effects of Botox injection are very rare. They can include allergic reaction, to the medication, local irritation/bleeding/bruising at the needle site and immunity to the medication if injected too often. Weakness, double vision, lid droop, difficulty swallowing, difficulty speaking, joint pain, urinary incontinence have been rarely reported. Most side effects are transient and mild. No definitive event or distant spread of toxin effect at the labeled use of Botulism toxin have been noted.
The product contains Albumin a product derived from human blood. A vasovagal response to needle injection pain and anxiety of injection may happen.
Administration of Botulism during pregnancy is not recommended.
Collagen fillers like Juvederm Ultra, Uvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane and Parlane gel are injected into areas of facial tissue, where moderate to severe wrinkles and folds occur. It temporarily adds volume to the skin and subcutaneous tissue and gives the appearance of a smoother skin surface and may help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
Correction is temporary and touch up injections as well as repeat injections are usually necessary for optimal correction. Less material usually about half the original amount is needed for repeat injections. Most patients may need one or more injections for optimal result. The result may last from 6 months to 1 year.
In addition to Botox and Collagen fillers, additional options for the correction of wrinkles and lines exist, including facial creams, chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing treatments and surgery.
Side Effects are mild to moderate in nature and their duration is short lasting. The most common side effects include but are not limited to temporary injection site reactions, such as r as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, infection and discoloration.
In the first 24 hours after injection one should avoid strenuous exercise, extensive sun exposure, and alcoholic beverages.
Collagen Fillers should not be used if you have severe allergies, marked by a history of anaphylaxis, allergies to Gram-positive proteins, and if you are pregnant.
Chemical Grade Skin Peel

Injection of Botox has shown to be effective in alleviating excessive sweating of axilla, palms and soles. It does not cure hyperhydrosis. The effect will wear off in time and repeat injection will have to be done. Typically the effect lasts for 6 months to 1 year.
